From Cheryl Crockett:

Ladies,

Love, love, love your book!! Got my 3 month supply!

From Barbara Gertsch:

Kathy and Jan,

I just wanted to tell you thank you for writing this book. I have been struggling lately with starting my food storage because I didn’t know which direction I needed to go. My mother has never been very active in working on her food storage so after I got married I really didn’t know where to begin.¬† I purchased your book and I went to work immediately, purchasing the items that I could afford. My husband recently lost his job and I don’t know what we would have done for food if it wasn’t for the storage that I had. I was so surprised how easy it was to collect the items that we needed and that it was a little fun as well. ūüôā I especially liked how you mentioned the non-food items. I tell everyone I know about this book.¬† Thank you so much for helping our tough situation be a little better.

With much thanks,
Barbara

Hi,

I live in NC and was in SLC for Glenn Beck’s American Revival (fell in love with Salt Lake!) and wandered into Deseret Book and your book caught my eye. ¬†Thank you so much for writing and providing a wonderful guide with fabulous recipes! This makes things so much easier to plan and store household goods. ¬†We had thought of storing food but not household necessities (diapers, toilet paper, etc.)! ¬†Thanks again and think about doing a cookbook!!!

Hi ladies (Kathy and Jan),

I just finished reading “Not Your Mother’s Food Storage”. I¬†wanted to¬†tell you¬†thanks for creating your book. Wow, if I had only known how easy it could be. Super simple plan, great ideas, thorough explanations, online worksheets, links, and¬†yummy sounding recipes that I can’t wait to try, especially the tortillas. Thanks for enlightening me on how to make a plan that really works for my family, without any waste. Love it! I¬†already encouraged someone else to buy it today. She was wanting food storage and usage ideas to teach to her Ward. I wish you great success with this book.¬†Thanks again,

From Kristine:

I love your book and all the wonderful ideas and recipes in it!¬†I do have a question on the Yeast Sourdough recipe, how do you keep it going after you make it and its ready to use?¬† I have been looking for a recipe like this for a long time.¬† Also the Sourdough pancake recipe is exactly what I have been looking for too.¬† Thanks so much. As I’m sure you can tell I am new to sourdough baking here but have wanted to get into it for along time and I think you have inspired me.¬† Also you have inspired me on doing more with my food storage too!
